As a home-owner, you want a flooring option that is not only beautiful but also durable and long-lasting. That's where raw engineered timber floors come in.
One of the biggest advantages is that this flooring type is installed in its raw state and sanded and finished on-site. This allows for a seamless installation, and affords you the opportunity to customise the floors to suit your design preferences at the end of the build, rather than committing to a finish or colour right from the start.
After these floors are installed, a specialised non-toxic Loba water-based coating or hard wax oil is applied to the surface so that the floor can withstand being ‘lived on’, making it ideal for busy families or homes with pets.
Long term maintenance involves re-coating the floor every 5-10 years. This process can be carried out multiple times, although eventually the timber will need to be sanded right back to its raw state to remove deeper scratches and dents that occur over time.
As an extra benefit for the eco-conscious, the engineered floors we offer are made from timber that is sourced sustainably with a chain of custody and PEFC accreditation, whether it comes from Australia or another global location.

Manufactured exclusively in Australia in Grafton by the Big River Group, every board is engineered from five peeled layers of Australian eucalypt hardwood sheets bonded together to form a solid, stable floorboard.
Each peeled layer has its grain aligned at right-angles to the next, creating an extremely stable structure able to withstand changes in our varied environments.. This special cross-ply process creates boards with greater resistance to shrinkage than solid timber boards, whilst maintaining the beauty of forest timbers.
It is finished on site by our dream team with your choice of polyurethane coatings.

This range is a Raw Engineered Timber, available in Blackbutt and Spotted Gum.
Upon installtion we will lightly sand the floor and apply a coating of your choice from Loba in a 2pack water-based polyurethane finish available as Invisible Protect for the most natural, matt finish, Extra Matt, Matt/Satin & Semi-Gloss.
Europol Universal sealer is also available to use as the first coat to enhance the natural colour of the timber. By using the Loba Pro-colour stains, we can even create a custom colour for your project.

The T&C Arcadian Raw Engineered European Oak is available in both select and rustic grades.
The select grade offers a smooth surface with square edges and an interlocking tongue and groove fitting system.
The rustic grade boasts a more textured surface thanks to a light wire brushing, as well as beveled sides and a uniclic fitting system.
