We were approached by our clients, building with Avenue Construction, to install our beautiful Arcadian Rustic Grade European Oak engineered timber flooring in their new home built by local building company Avenue Constructions in 2019.

As the flooring was also installed in their 2nd storey structural timber sub-floor, we used the specialized Wakol TS160 3mm Footfall Acoustic Mat along with the Wakol MS262 Adhesive to reduce noise transfer to lower level Wakol PU280 moisture vapour sealed concrete sub-floor where the floor was also direct stuck with the Wakol MS262 adhesive. The staircase treads & risers were also lined with the Arcadian Rustic Grade European Oak engineered timber flooring with our custom made square edge timber stair nosing which completed the style of this gorgeous open plan home perfectly.

Our lovely clients chose to use the Loba Impact Oil to finish their floor which was buffed in before they moved in. This allows them to self-repair & maintain their floor for their own needs without the need for a sand & coat by a professional. Oiled flooring requires regular maintenance to keep the surface intact to reduce any water marks & stains etc, but it also gives you a super natural surface with no nasties – so speak to us to see if this is the right finish for you.
